FRIEM with the FIELD STUDY ABROAD in Honduras Villages

In August the “Field Study Abroad#15”, supported by FRIEM, travelled in Central American Countries.

20 Students started the experience visiting Columbia University in New York, to share need assessment methodology, then they went to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica towns and rural villages in order to realize works and data collections to be elaborated at the end at MIT in Boston.

The picture shows the most relevant kind of activities held during the travel: “direct action on field”.

In the picture, a student is studying the energy meter on the electrical panel of a Micro Hydro Plant in Honduras, at El Diptamo Village. In that case-study the FSA team, worked to solve little problems related to the hydroelectric plant and evaluating the real change of life quality for the people after two years of electrification.
